The current map displays parks found near United States Post Office and Courthouse Historic District. WV. A park is defined as follows:
- Place or area set aside for recreation or preservation of a cultural or natural resource and under some form of government administration; not including National or State forests or Reserves (national historical landmark, national park, State park, wilderness area).
Location, name and other data presented on maps are obtained from the Geographic Names Information System (GNIS), developed by the U.S. Geological Survey in cooperation with the U.S. Board on Geographic Names (BGN). GNIS contains name and locative information for almost 2 million physical and cultural features located throughout the United States and its Territories.
